Nie ma mocnych na Kamila Stocha. Polak ponownie zdeklasował rywali podczas pierwszego treningu w Trondheim. Pod nieobecność Polaka w drugim treningu, z triumfu cieszyć się mógł Andreas Stjernen.
I trening:
Kamil Stoch nie dał szans ponownie swoim rywalom w pierwszym treningu. Jako jedyny swoją próbę oddawał z 9. belki i wylądował na 140 metrze wyprzedzając o 6 punktów Roberta Johanssona (140,5 m/11. belka). Trzeci był Stefan Kraft (128 m), a tuż za nim uplasowali się Johann Andre Forfang (130,5 m), Stephan Leyhe (134 m) oraz Tilen Bartol (137 m).
Siódme miejsce zajął Richard Freitag (131 m), ósme Peter Prevc (134 m), dziewiąte Piotr Żyła (131,5 m), a dziesiąte – Jernej Damjan (133 m).
Dawid Kubacki po skoku na odległość 130,5 m zajął 15. miejsce, tuż przed Stefanem Hulą (130 m). 19. był Maciej Kot (131,5 m), 37. Jakub Wolny (128,5 m).
Pierwszą serię treningową rozegrano z 14., 13., 12., 11. i 10. belki startowej. Kamil Stoch jako jedyny oddawał próbę z 9. belki.
II trening:
Drugi trening to wygrana Andreasa Stjernena. 134,5 metrowy skok pozwolił Norwegowi pokonać kolegę z reprezentacji – Johanna Andre Forfanga (134 m) oraz Richarda Freitaga (130 m).
Najlepszy z Polaków – Stefan Hula (130 m) zajął 6. miejsce. 17. był Maciej Kot (122 m), a lokatę niżej – Piotr Żyła (124 m). 34. po skoku na 116,5 metr – Jakub Wolny.
Podczas drugiego treningu na belce startowej nie pojawili się Dawid Kubacki oraz Kamil Stoch. Także Robert Johansson odpuścił skok.
